Shiranie Bhoelai is an optimistic person and a lawyer with a strong sense of justice.

After graduating from the Anton de Kom University of Suriname, specializing in private law, she consciously chose the legal profession. During her studies she performed excellently.  As co-founder of the Surinamese Legal Faculty Association (‘SLFA’), Shiranie contributed to the promotion of the scientific, social, and cultural development of the students at the Faculty of Law. In addition, she also gained knowledge through the extra-curricular activities, such as the Suriname Model United Nations 2019, ELSA Webinars Academy 2020, a board position within SLFA 2020-2021 and research assistance to law professors.

As a passionate lawyer, Shiranie is, under guidance of Mr. Edward Naarendorp, actively involved in the civil law practice and works on a variety of legal issues. In particular, she has affinity with property law, contract law, commercial law and employment law.
