After a short career in education, As a lecturer in Commercial Sciences, Mr. Henri Henar continued his career in banking.
He obtained the degree of Master of Law from Utrecht University, where he graduated in the direction of Economic Public and Business Law.
In the Netherlands, he worked with abn AMRO Bank’s predecessors in various senior advisory and management positions, including as Head of Account management Regio Utrecht, Directeur Personal Banking in Woerden and finally as senior banker at Fortis Commercial Banking in Rotterdam.
He was responsible for the provision of services for the health and public sector institutions. With a team of specialists he was responsible for the bank’s growth target in the listed market segments in the Rotterdam-Rijnmond region. In 2007 he decided to remigrate to Suriname to join the Surinamese Bank in the position of commercial director. He has held this position until his retirement.
He is now a lawyer and consultant at Naarendorp Advocaten and expects to join the Bar Association of Suriname shortly.
He is mainly concerned with advising institutions, financial and private institutions in relation to the (legal)establishment of the related companies in accordance with the applicable compliance rules. In addition, he is a service to companies in the optimization of their financing structure and in contact with investors.
